David Brooks Fairbanks

8th of 13 children of William David and Susan (Mandeville) Fairbanks. He often went by "D.B." or Brooks Fairbanks.

He married Hannah Mosley Johnson Feb. 5, 1873 in Payson, Utah, and they had 7 children: William Ralph, 1874, Martha Alice, 1876, May, 1879, Wilder, 1881, Nell, 1883, Bessie, 1885, and Susan Elizabeth, 1889.

Brooks and Hannah were later divorced. In the 1900 census, Brooks Fairbanks, 47, divorced, was working as a sheepherder at Colton, UT. In 1906 he was sentenced to six months in prison for bootlegging. In the 1910 census he was listed as a "widower" and was working as a sheepherder at Theodore, UT. In the 1930 census he was listed as 80 years old, living with the family of his brother Ralph J. Fairbanks in Ludlow, San Bernardino County, California.

His birth year is off by 3 years in the 1930 census, his death record, and on his gravestone Inscription: D. B. FAIRBANKS 1850 - 1940

Note: Buried in the back part of the lot, sort of going uphill, close to William Bradford and Simon Kuenzel, CDI provided the dates, first and middle names, mother's maiden name of Mandeville and being born in Utah
