                          DEATHS. Haldeman—David D. Haldeman was born in Montgomery county, Pa., Oct. 12, 1845, and died at his home in Quinter, Kas., May 10, 1917, aged 71 years, six months and 29 days. He was married May 16, 1868, to Sallie S. Hunsicker. To this union were born four children, three daughters and one son. Three of these survive him, the wife and one daughter having preceded him to the spirit land. He was married again March 8, 1888, to Susan G. Schoenly. To this union were born a family of three children, one of whom died in infancy. Mr. Haldeman grew to manhood in Pennsylvania, residing there until the fall of 1881 when he moved wih[sic] his family to Kansas, locating near Hamlin where he lived until the spring of 1906, when he moved to Gove county where he spent the remainder of his life. During his long illness and weeks of suffering he was always patient, bearing his affliction with Christian fortitude. He leaves to mourn his departure his faithful wife, three daughters and two sons, four grandchildren, a step-mother, four brothers and two sisters. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church, conducted by Reb. Jacob Engle, of Abilene.—Cont.
