David A. Hershberger

Dundee - David A. Hershberger, 81, of 9286 Township Road 659, Dundee, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

He was born near Winesburg on February 28, 1940 to the late Abe and Martha (Kurtz) Hershberger, and married Anna Miller on October 1, 1964 and she survives.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Elsie (Daniel) Keim, Sarah Ann (Ervin Jr.) Keim, and Joseph (Miriam) Hershberger all of Dundee; grandchildren, Rachel (Steven), Diane (Marvin), Roy Allen (Rhoda), Marietta, Rebecca, Leon, James (Rachel), Nathan (Debra), Leah, Naomi (Benjamin), Timothy (special friend Anita), Brian, Micah (Beth), Kaitlyn (Jeremy), Zachary, and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Elias, Isaiah, Leah, Heidi, Penelope, Jayce, Mollie, Sophia, Ellie, Isabelle, Amber, Jaylon, Evelyn, Noah, and Avery; sisters, Mary (the late Jacob) Miller, Fannie and Sarah; sisters-in-law, Amanda (the late Eli) Hershberger, and Effie (the late Abe) Hershberger Jr., both of Dundee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dan, Eli, Levi, and Abe Jr.; sisters-in-law, Katie, and Mary; a brother-in-law, Jacob J.J. Miller; and a great-granddaughter, Abby Rose.

The family would like to thank hospice for their assistance during David's final days.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Ervin Keim Jr. Residence, 9301 Township Road 659, Dundee, with Bishop Daniel P. Raber officiating. Burial will follow in the Nisley Cemetery, Paint Township, Wayne County. Friends may call anytime after 3:00 pm on Sunday and anytime on Monday at the Ervin Keim Jr. Residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
