David Keppel

Death: Aug. 20, 1888 Armstrong County Pennsylvania, USA

David was the 12th of 12 children of of Daniel Kepple and Elizabeth Yerian of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He married 1st on January 18, 1844, Pennsylvania, to Magdalene "Mary" Hawk. He married 2nd in 1858, Pennsylvania, to Elizabeth Whitesell. David was said to have been born on the farm from which he was never away in his life for more than 16 days when he visited his sister Mary in Iowa. This farm was in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, until the land became part of Parks Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. The family is listed in each census from 1850 through 1880. He had a 5th child probably born in 1855 who apparently died before the 1860 census.
