Service with the Hudson's Bay Company

David Munro (aka David Munroe) entered the service of the Hudson's Bay Company on 11 April 1818. He was employed as a cooper at York Factory during outfit year 1818-19, and again during outfit years 1822-42. He also worked at Trout Lake during outfit year 1819-20, and at Severn during outfit year 1820-21 Hudson's Bay Company Archives: Biographical Sheets He was assigned to the Columbia District, 1842-44, and settled in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, becoming a citizen of the United States of America.
