David Lee Palmer

David Lee Palmer, 67, passed away peacefully Thursday night, March 6th. He succumbed to the symptoms of brain cancer and was with his wife of 25 years, daughter and stepson when he passed. Riverview Cemetery, Green River, Wyoming.

Born April 20, 1947 in Westhope, North Dakota, the eldest son of Walt and Betty Palmer, siblings Marian (Severson) and Brian Palmer.

In the fall of 2012, Dave retired from Kinder Morgan formerly El Paso.

Dave enjoyed water skiing, boating, bowling and playing cards, hobbies he shared with with his family. In 1993 they moved to Green River, Wyoming when he returned to C.I.G. which eventually became Kinder Morgan.

In Wyoming, Dave would compete on bowling teams and develop other interests such as shooting guns and golfing.

He has two sons, Michael and Kent (deceased), from a marriage to Carrie Eman. He began his career as an electronic technician for C.I.G. in Elkart, Kansas and later moved to Bismarck, North Dakota where he pursued an investment career.

Dave met and married his current wife Shirley Krank (Samek) in 1988. She brought David 5 children from a previous marriage: Brien, Dana, Galen, Jesse and Jennifer. Shirley and Dave had a daughter, Lillian Beth.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Palmer of Green River, Wyoming; mother Betty and siblings Brian and Marian of Minot, North Dakota; son Michael and wife June Palmer, of Bismarck, North Dakota; daughter Lillian Palmer of Laramie, Wyoming; Brien and Darla Krank of Fargo, North Dakota; Dana and Diana Krank of Las Vegas, Nevada; Jennifer (Krank) and Casey Maez of Green River, Wyoming; Jesse Krank of Los Angeles, California; and Galen Krank.

And 10 beautiful grandkids whom he never tired of seeing.

Dave is preceded in death by his father Walter and son Kent.
