Reverend David Parsons(Joseph 2, Joseph1) son of Esquire Joseph and Elizabeth Strong Parsons, was born at Northampton, February 3, 1680; graduated at Harvard College in 1705; was settled as minister at Malden , MA and later at Leicester, MA were he died October 12, 1743. He was a man of strong passions and the people of Leicester were unyielding and after years of strife he died and was buried by his special direction on his own land, being unwilling to be buried with his people. Meedness was not a distinguishing part of his character. He was however, considered eminent as a preacher and scholar. The Reverend David married Sarah Stebbins, who died June 17, 1759, aged 73. They raised a family of 8 children, te sixth being Nathan Parsons, who was born October 12, 1721.
