About David Shibles

Biography

David was born in 1776. Upon marriage he resided in Camden, Maine until 1810 when he purchased land from Gen. Henry Knox heirs and moved inland to what became in 1819 the Town of Knox. David was active in local government. In later years he and Catherine moved to Searsmont to live with Polly. He passed away in 1866.
