The reason for tis entry, and the entry for this person's son, is that Radom, Poland became a part of the Russian Empire in 1815. Within a few years, the Russians assigned Russian style surnames to people. They told an ancestor, previously named either Heinemann or Ginsberg, that since his father's name had been Samuel, his surname would now be Samuel-son, or Szmuelowicz in the Polish/Russian form.
