Brief overview:
Dawnsy, a designer for Billabong Clothing, was attacked in Cape Town by a knife-wielding man, and in the struggle fell down a steep cliff into a disused quarry and died, on 6th February 2013.
She was walking with her daughter, Jasmin, to attend the Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert, and cut through Bo-Kaap in Cape Town, when they were accosted. Police spokesman Andre Traut reported: “A murder case docket has been registered.

- It was later reported that two men were arrested and that witnesses had come forward indicating that this was a murder, one of them being Dorothy Daniels, who was the first to reach Dawnsy. She saw her falling into the quarry at the top of Chiappini Street.
