Dea. Timothy Hill, Esq., Rev. War Vet.

Deacon Timothy Hill was born 22 May 1722, and died 06 Feb 1781. He served in the American Revolution.

The inscription on his tombstone reads:

. ..who after having served his generation usefully in many public offices and employments; fell on sleep Feb. 7th 1781 in the 59th Year of his Age. Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.

Married: to ELIZABETH STEVENS on 27 Oct 1748. She died Apr 1801.

Notes

By his father's will he was to be educated at Yale, but he did not graduate there. His funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Jonathan Todd and was published.
