Daughter of Mary Willcox (d. May 22, 1824) and John Montgomery (d. February 14, 1818). Deborah was baptized on July 1, 1770, at the house of her grandfather, Thomas Willcox, at Concord, Pennsylvania. (Records of the American Catholic Historical Society, p. 438.)
DIED, At Fayetteville, lately, after a long and painful illness of the consumption, Mrs. Deborah Dubrutz, relict of the late Gabriel Dubrutz, Esq. deeply regretted by a large circle of friends and relatives. —Published in The Raleigh Register (Raleigh, North Carolina), June 17, 1825, p. 3.
Further Notice. ON Thursday, the 20th day of October next, will be sold at the late residence of Mrs. Deborah Dubrutz, dec. Mount Alexander, Chatham county, a quantity of Corn and Fodder; about fifty head of Cattle, eleven Horses, eight head of Hogs, two Wagons, three Carts, all the Farming Utensils, and sundry articles of Household Furniture, &c.—.... Notice. ON Wednesday the 28th day of December, at the Town House in Fayetteville, will be hired for the term of one year, Twenty-Four Negroes. (consisting of Men, Boys, Women and Girls,) belonging to the estate of Mrs. Dubrutz, deceased. Real Estate for Sale. BY virtue of the power and authority in us vested by the last Will and Testament of Mrs. Deborah Dubrutz, dec'd. we shall offer for sale at Public Auction, at the Town House in Fayetteville, on Thursday the 23d day of March next, a two story brick building, situated on the west side of Green street, occupied by O. P. Stark, Esq; also, that valuable Tanyard lately occupied by G. Dubrutz, dec'd. (containing between 2 and 3 acres of Land) with all the necessary out houses, work shop, working tools and about fifty cords of excellent bark, on a credit of 6, 12, 18 & 24 months....
