29 July 1570: Memorandum narrating that Williame Ramsay, son of George Ramsay, Laird of Dalhoussy, passed to the personal presence of Patrik Gray, messenger, and made faith before the notary and witnesses that the two horses (one gray and one black) poinded by the messenger, at the instance of Alexander Stewart, captain of Blakness, furth of the ground of the Eist Mains of Dalhoussy, pertained to him at the time of the poinding, together with the whole corn, goods, and gear on said ground ; and desired that the said two horses should be restored to him.
