Dewey Whitworth , the son of W.T. Whitworth ( William Taylor Whitworth ) and Mary Jane Peoples Whitworth was born in Alabama on August 14 , 1898 . ( His parents W.T. and Mary Jane Whitworth are also buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery .) His paternal grandparents were Hiram Whitworth #101545784 and Mary Edwin Butler Whitworth #101545827 . His siblings that were the children of his father W.T. and Mary Jane Whitworth were Mary A. , Thomas L. , Marcus J. William T. , Minnie M. , Cora , and Julia . He had one other sibling Hiram Edward Whitworth whose mother was Mary Frances Cannon Whitworth , his father's first wife . In 1900 Dewey lived with his family in Morgan , Winston County , Alabama but by 1910 his family had moved to Tremont, Itawamba County , Mississippi . He completed his WW I draft registration on September 12 , 1918 in Itawamba county , Mississippi with his age listed as 20 being employed by Mrs . M. J. Whitworth who was listed as his nearest relative . By 1920 Dewey's father had died and his mother Mary was listed as head of the house with her daughter Julia and sons Marcus and Dewey along with Mary's daughter-in-law Eglantine ( Marcus' wife ) also listed on the census in Stone Cross Roads , Itawamba County , Mississippi . By 1930 Dewey was living with his wife Ruby Olean Whitworth and his children Roger B. Whitworth # 98427863 , Ruhel D. Whitworth ( Ruhel Dewey ) # 96622539 , and Rex H. Whitworth #114514750 in Humphreys , Mississippi . In 1940 in Sharkey , Mississippi also listed with the family was another son Raburn ( Rayburn Taylor ) # 47107685 and a daughter whose name was spelled as Nellojine which possibly could be the name Nellie Jean .
