Dianthe Lusk Brown was the first wife of abolitionist John Brown. They married on June 21, 1820 in Hudson, Ohio. She and Brown had seven children together before she died in childbirth in 1832. She and her infant son are buried together on the property of John Brown's Tannery in New Richmond, PA (South of Route 77, near John Brown Road). There are no known photos of Dianthe.
