Orange City--Dick W. De Vries, 65, of Orange City died Saturday, Nov. 25, at his horne after a sudden illness.
Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Reformed Church with the Rev. Dr. Raymond Van Heukeloni officiating. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Horne.
Mr. De Vries was born Oct. 1, 1913, in The Netherlands and came to the United States at the age of 3 and to Orange City in 1944. He married Rena Groeneweg on May 15,1939, in Paramount, Calif.
He worked for the Orange City Street, Department until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the First Reformed Church.
Survivors include the widow; two sons, Ted of Ankeny and Rick, at horne; two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Gertrude) Boeshort of Norfolk, Neb., and Mrs. Ray (Bernice) Deannatt of San Bernadino, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Wilmina) Niessink of Sioux Center and Mrs. Lawrence (Gertrude) Van Roekel of AIton; two brothers, William of Sioux City and John of Whitehall, Pa., and three grandchildren.
