- The book “Political Arrests in Estonia Under Soviet Occupation” (volume 3, Repressed Persons Records, book 3, compiled by Leo Õispuu, Tallinn, 2005, page 588) contains the following information: Olman, Dmitri, Matvei’s son, born June 16, 1907 in Saaremaa, Torgu commune; secondary school education, seaman; arrested June 26, 1941 in Kuressaare commune, tribunal July 2,1941 §58-1a, 58-10 section 1, death sentence, detention in Tallinn, executed July 4, 1941; in 1939 had left to Germany, returned to Estonia in 1940 with an espionage assignment (https://www.memento.ee/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Memento-Raamat-3.pdf).
- The archival fond of ESSR Committee of State Security holds an investigation dossier (ERAF.130SM.1.14493) on Dmitri Olman from year 1941. It occurs that he was accused of espionage, counter-revolutionary agitation and defamation of Soviet power and the ÜK(b)P. Allegedly he was recruited as a spy in the spring of 1940 in a country bordering the Soviet Union. Later in 1991 the court decision was cancelled and Dmitri Olman was rehabilitated, rehabilitation certificate was given out 28.10.91.
