About Dina Rachel Sklarsky

UPDATE: I just got a family tree for Rokha, Doba and Chaie Malke Frenkel of Rotnitsa [Hatte Blejer, February 2021]. As a result, I have detached Rokha (Dina Rachel) from another David Frenkel (David ben Abram) and attached her to David ben Aron Frenkel.

I will be added information from the family tree shortly. She had five children: Esther, Morris Samuel, Mayer Elias, Chaya, and Mashe. She died in Kovno (Kaunas) in October 1941.

All the Frenkel / Frankels of Rotnitsa were related. Given names repeated and first cousins of the same age might have the same given name, after a deceased grandparent or great grandparent.

Rotnitsa was absorbed later in Druskininkai (Druskiniki in Polish). But it was originally a satellite of Merkine (Meretch), an important nearby Jewish community.
