Dirk Johannes Jacobus Ziervogel

Research Notes

Suspect Dirk Jacobus Johannes to be the father of Carel Jacobus Ziervogel and Johanna Hillegonda Dorothea Ziervogel as he seems to be at many of the baptisms of her children. Christina Batten / Betten is the mother as per the children's baptisms where it is noted that the mother is unmarried (onecht).

His son Peter Benedictus Ziervogel is a witness at the birth of Johanna Hillegonda's daughter Annie Hildagonda Craigs son - William Percival Denton Craig Elsted.

He would have died after 1874 when we see a letter from him requesting to be sent to Robben Island.
