Dolly Mahan

SIS. Dolly J.Mahan Was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Calvin L. Tisdale In DeKalb, Mississippi.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in DeKalb Mississippi.

    She was joiined in holy matrimony to the late Bro. Henry Mahan in 1930. Later years she moved back to Leeds, Alabama  and united with Macedonia Baptist Church, Leeds, Alabama under the leadership of the late Rev. E. D. James in 1943 where she remained a faithful member until her call to enter the Master’s dominion was delivered Wednesday, February, 22, 1978 at 5:30 P.M. at University Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama.

She leaves to mourn: two adopted daughters, Mrs. Obera Thomas, of Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Ida Bell Maddox, Birmingham, Alabma; six granchildren; two sisters; Mrs. Mary Lee Rush, Mrs. Christiana Houston, Phill, Miss.; one aunt, Mrs. Nelley McDonald, Union Miss.; thirty nieces; nephews; a host of great-nieces; nephews, other relatives and friends.
