Domingo (34), was shot in the head when he attempted to assist a touring British couple, who had been hijacked and abducted by a gang of armed males, on Saturday 16th November 2002. The shooting occurred when the hijackers crashed the vehicle.

"The attackers forced the couple into another vehicle and drove around for more than 14 hours, raping the woman repeatedly. The ordeal only ended when the car overturned in an accident near Barberton - more than 120 miles from the site of the abduction."
