Donald D. Schroeder

Donald Dean Schroeder, 73, was born Aug. 28, 1925 in Sioux Valley, MN, the son of Harvey Schroeder and Mable Uglum. He graduated from Lake Park High School (Iowa) in 1943.

In Lake Park, IA on May 26, 1946 he married June Rowe. The couple farmed in the Lake Park area. In June 1996 they moved to Sioux City, IA. Donald died of cancer in Sioux City, IA. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. He was survived by his wife, June, his son, Don L. Schroder and his wife, Deb of Lake Park. Two sisters, Joan Hewlett of Ankey, IA and Erma Nugent of Milwaukee, WI. Seven grandchildren, Ammy Little, Jason Ponto, Michelle Nienkerk, Elizabeth and Erin Schroeder, Kevin and Andrew Butcher and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Ann M. Butcher, a son, Roy H. Schroeder, a sister, Janice Pell and a brother Robert L. Schroder.

Don and June had 3 children:

2. Ann Marie Schroeder b. Sept. 14, 1949 Spirit Lake, Iowa married, #1 Ponto, #2 Neinkerk, #3. Butcher

3. Roy Harvey Schroeder b. Feb. 10, 1953 Spirit Lake, Iowa . died of Aids
