Donna Grant

Donna Grant was born in South Carolina as oldest of four girls (Donna, Angela, Deborah and Kitty), the children of Baptist missionary Worth Grant and Kathryn Stephens. The mission brought the family to Japan where they lived for twenty years. Kitty, the youngest sister, was born there. Donna returned to the US to study at Furman University, Greenville, S.C. Her marriage to Lawrence Graham failed, and 28 year old Lawrence became a single father of their 5 year old daughter, Lauren, an unusual situation at this time.

Donna relocated to London and lived there until her death at age 61. Her daughter Shade Grant is an Oxford graduate, now living in the US.

Her impulse was to follow her dream, and that was an inspiration to me."
