Donnie A Pennington

Donnie A. Pennington, 95, a lifelong resident of Crossett, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at her residence in North Crossett. Born on July 16, 1913, to John W. and Hattie Jordan Swan, she was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy P. Summers of St. Augustine, FL, and Jamie P. Wisecarver and Alice F. Pennington, both of Crossett; one granddaughter, Anita Dorman McKeithen of Baton Rouge, LA; three grandsons, James C. Summers and wife Sherrill of St. Augustine, FL, James Dee Wisecarver and wife Tina of Hamburg and Troy Jay Wisecarver and wife Angela of Sterlington, LA; eight great-grandchildren, Jeff McKeithen of New Orleans, Cord McKeithen of Baton Rouge, Jennifer Brainard and husband Chris of Altanta, GA, Brandon Wisecarver, USAF Hurlburt Field, FL, Rebecca Tessaro and husband David of Jacksonville, FL, Wil Summers, USMC Camp Pendelton, CA, and Caleb and Grayson Wisecarver of Sterlington, LA; one great-great-granddaughter, Madelyn Tessaro of Jacksonville, FL; and one brother, Rayford Swan of Hamburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Cordell Pennington; her parents; a daughter, Norma Pennington Dorman; four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Friday, September 5, in the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Joe Sponaugle officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
