Mrs H. R. Emery
Mrs. Dora B Emery, 91, widow of Dr. H.R. Emery, former Newark dentist, died Sunday at 4 a.m. in Mt Carmel Hospital, Columbus.
Mrs. Emery, a former resident of 52 Fulton Ave., had been living in Columbus with her daughter, Mrs. J.R. Barcroft and was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago for treatment of a fractured hip.
She was born Feb 15, 1867, in Napolean, the daughter of Urias and Catherine (Sheesley) Lautzenheiser. Her husband proceeded her in death in 1921 and she left Newark 21 years ago. Mr Emery was member of the Christian Missionary Alliance.
She is survived by three daughters and a son: Mrs. Barcroft, Mrs. O.O. Tayler of Granville., Mrs. A.W. Fell of Bearden, Ark., and Carl R Emery of Akron: also 15 grandchildren: 40 great-grandchildren: one sister, Mrs. J. R. Denzler, of Marengo, Ia., A son, Elliott Emery met death December, 1927, in an airplane accident, enroute home from Bowling Field, Washington, D.C.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Ross Henderson Funeral Home and burial will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
