About Dora Taylor
Dora Taylor nee Schun was born in Disna, Vilnius in 1887. This area was once part of the USSR and one can trace the area on the internet. Dora was known as Bobby Taylor and lived in the same village as her husband Joseph Zeleznikov. This marriage was not approved by Joseph's parents who had other plans for their son. Eventually the couple left the area to come to the UK.
I was told they went to Ireland first where Dora had family but later left for England and settled in Strangeways where there was a large immigrant jewish population.

Michael Taylor was born on the 16th September 1908 first child of Dora and Joseph Taylor. Michael known as Mick died on the 31st of July 1982 and is buried in Agecroft cemetary. He married Elizabeth Patterson in 1932. Mick and Betty were the parents of Joan Richards nee Taylor. Elizabeth died on January 7th 2000, and is also buried in Agecroft cemetary. |

Dora Taylor died 18th August 1973 age 86. She is buried in Blackley Cemetary. Should any descendants want to visit her grave it is in Isle I row 25 the 11th stone to the left.
