About Dora Wadler (Schwartz)
This is Fannie Feiner's sister -in law. Fannie had a relative who always tried to live near by when they lived on east side of New York and Brooklyn. We have relatives in Texas - this may be the person from that side of family. I remember an Aunt Dora coming to visit the New York area when I was a child. All the relatives gathered to meet her. I was told she was the oldest living relative at the time.
Dora's husband, Ben, was injured and could no longer work as a truck driver (?). While he worked as a traveling salesman, Dora's successful brother Joe had met Fannie Davis. Fannie worked as a maid in the Blumfeld (?)'s boarding house in Wharton, one of the places that boarding him on his travels through Texas. He settled down in Wharton with Fannie and became a very successful merchant. On a buying trip to NYC, Joe's daughter Marjorie and Dora's son Paul (Pinkas), first cousins, fell in love and married. After Ben could no longer work in NY, Joe offered to help set him and Dora up in business in Texas. They opened a grocery store in Hungerford, Texas.
