Biography She was named in her father's estate apparently. That record is missing but her mother, Sarah Hough's estate was litigated in 1838 and her children, as heirs apparent, are identified as those of Dorcas Deason, dec'd wife of Ben. [1]

Dorcas was born in 1785, in Lancaster Co.,South Carolina They had 7 children: Amos Deason, Ellender "Nellie" McManus (born Deason) and 5 other children. Benjamin lived in 1810, at South Carolina.
