Dorothy Louise Curtis

Dorothy had 1 older sister, Marion Vogedes-Contin, and 1 older brother named George Vogedes. She never knew her father Louis Vogedes, who died when Dorothy was still in the womb. Both parents were legal immigrants from Germany. Dorothy was a dental assistant in New York when she met and married , Samuel Curtis III, who visited the dentist as a patient while in the Marines. They had 7 children together, but the last 2 were miscarriages. All children were born in Boston, Mass. except for their oldest son, Samuel, who was born in New Jersey.
