Dorothy Weisband

According to Dorothy's daughter, Mimi, her mother was born in East New York, Brooklyn on August 12, 1922. She became a nurse around 1947 and moved to LA briefly for about 1-2 years, working at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. After returning to NY, she met her husband, Leon Weisband, in Miami on a vacation in the early 50s. They married around 1953. Dorothy was a maternity nurse and for awhile worked for Dr. Al Schwartz, who delivered Iimi. Dorothy was at North Shore Hospital in the mid 60s and later at queens College in the late 60s and 70s. Dorothy retired at age 60. Dorothy sadly died of Lymphomas on June 25, 2007.
