Dr. Abram Gabriel Jones

Dr. Jones was born at Bethania, North Carolina, and after attending Nazareth Hall, Pennsylvania, began the study of medicine at the University of Virginia. He was graduated in medicine from New York University and took post-graduate courses in New York. He served during the Civil War in Co. K, 5th North Carolina Regiment, Stuart's Calvary, C.S.A. and was later a successful physician and surgeon for over fifty years, making his home at Walnut Cove, North Carolina.
