Edmund Herrmann was a pionneer at the field of discovery of the corpus luteum hormones. He extracted the hormonal substance /called later progesteron / among the first scientists who were trying to identify that substance. It was in the year 1914.Together with Sigmund Frankel he patented his invention at the US Patent Office/Patent US 1314321 A /.
