Hansher, Dr. Ervin Passed away May 27, 2007 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Harriet Hansher (nee Kesselman) for 63 years. Cherished father of Barbara (Frederic) Fabricant, Rusti (Steven) Moffic and Debra (Stuart) Eisendrath. Son of the late Harry and Fanny Hansher. Son-in-law of the late Louis Mitchell and Sara Stearns Kesselman. Dear brother of the late Marvin Hansher, the late Mildred Wolf, and the late Lester Hansher. Much adored grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of three. Ervin deeply loved the practice of medicine. He attended Marquette University undergraduate school and Marquette University School of Medicine (now the Medical College of Wisconsin), graduating in 1936. In 1942, he volunteered for the US Army and served with distinction in Europe as a Major during World War II. Ervin was a practicing physician on the staff of St. Mary's Hospital for 60 years. He served on the Wisconsin Boxing Commission as a ringside examiner. He oversaw the medical clinic at the American Motors plant. He studied surgery in Chicago, Boston, Vienna, and London. Ervin used every moment of his allotted time to its fullest extent. He was an avid golfer and runner. He traveled the world frequently with his wife and family. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and former patients whom he helped through the years. The family thanks Dr. Richard Kane, Letha Kennedy, Home Instead Senior Care and Advantage Home Care for their exceptional devotion to Dr. Hansher. Funeral services to be held at 2 PM Wednesday (TODAY), May 30, at Congregation Shalom, 7630 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Fox Point. Burial to follow at Second Home Cemetery, 3705 S. 43rd St., Milwaukee.
