Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian
Church in Irving, Kansas on Thursday, March
8, 1956 at 2:00 p.m. for Dr. E.G. Rasmussen,
58, who passed away on Sunday morning at
the University hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
Burial will be in the Irving Cemetery.

Dr. Rasmussen was born on November 28,
1897, south of Bigelow, Kansas. For the past
several years he has been teaching Economics
and Business Administration in Vanderbilt
University. Prior to that he was a cashier of
the Union State Bank at Cleburne, Kansas.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son,
Nicky Rasmussen of the home; one sister,
Mrs. B.A. Shehi, Westmoreland, Kansas;
five brothers, R.H. Rasmussen, Snake River,
Washington, Ira L. Rasmussen, Wichita,
Kansas, E.O. Rasmussen, Vliets, Kansas
P.L. Rasmussen, Battle Ground, Washington,
A.H. Rasmussen, Salina, Kansas and several
nieces and nephews.
