Obituary from Chicago Tribune, 9 Aug 2005: "Harry Thomas Nagel M.D., 91, beloved husband of Alice, nee Straetz; fond father [...]; grandfather [...]. Dr. Nagel came to the United States from Prague, Czechoslovakia, in December of 1939. He recently lived in Oakbrook Terrace but was a long time resident of Elmhurst from 1952-1990. He was a well known pediatrician in the western suburbs of Chicago. His accomplishments included teaching at Loyola's Stritch School of Medicine. He was the head of the Pediatric Department of West Lake, Elmhurst and Good Samaritan Hospitals. He spent three months on the hospital ship Hope in Africa, in 1965 and three months in Srilanka in 1968. In 1983 he recieved the Distinguished Service Award from the Chicago Pediatric Society. He touched thousands of lives through his many years of medical practice. Memorial services 10 a.m. Saturday, August 13, at Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, 367 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst.
