Physician. The son of Dr. John Neill and Elizabeth Martin Neill of Snow Hill, Maryland, he followed his father into the medical profession, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's medical school in 1807. He had a lifelong private practice in Philadelphia, and was the physician for the Walnut Street Prison. He was interred in the churchyard of what was then called the 2nd Presbyterian Church on 4th and Pine Streets, but us now called today the Old Pine Street Presbyterian Church. On April 29, 1880 the remains of him and his wife were re-interred in the Neill Family Plot in Laurel Hill Cemetery.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Jan 24 2020, 0:59:16 UTC
