Henry Watson Furniss
Diplonat (1868-1955) Educated at Howard University and Harvard University, Furniss was a practicing surgeon at the Freedman’s Hospital, Washington D.C.. He left medicine in 1898 upon his appointment as US Consul in Bahia Brazil. In 1905 he was named U.S. envoy and minister to Haiti, where he served until 1913.
