Michael Setzer and Jacob Setzer, age 21, were on Ship Brothers and landed in America, September 26, 1753. Reference for this is Penn German Pioneers by Strassburger and Hinke, Vol. 1, pages 551, 553, and 554 and also Rupps Thirty Thousand Immigrant page 312. This drawing is on file with the Library of Australia. Ship "Brothers" was decommissioned in Australia
JACOB CAME TO THE COLONIES ABOARD THE SHIP "BROTHERS". THE FIRST DEED RECORDED TO SETZER IN NC IS TO JACOB SERZER, DATED DECEMBER 10, 1766 FOR 196.5 ACRES NEAR PRESENT NEWTON, NC FROM CONRAD BOVEY AND WIFE, MAGDALENE. JACOB AND MAGDALENE LIVED IN A PART OF ANSON CO., NC WHICH BECAME PART OF MECKLENBURG CO., THEN PART OF TRYON CO., THEN PART OF LINCOLN CO., AND IN 1842, PART OF CATAWBA CO.
