She founded the Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City, which was inaugurated in March of 1970.She also served as president of the Philippine Hospitals Association in 1986, then from 1988 to 1997. In 2001, the UP Medical Alumni Society recognised her, a 1945 graduate of its medical degree program, as its Most Distinguished Alumnus.
