About Dr. William Chisolm
He was born in Charleston and after having been a successful physician in St. Stephens Parish for 21 years he died in New York aged 53 years / whence his remains were removed to this spot / The poor still remember his skill and his benevolence / His example of Integrity is treasured by the community and his family and friends are consoled by the hope that he whose life was marked by intelligence and usefulness by virtue and religion has gone to inherit a peaceful reward.
