About Dr. William Wills

He was born in what is now Botetourt County, Virginia. He may have been a doctor.

Around 1741, he married a woman whose first name was Elizabeth. They had at least one child, a son named Frederick William.

Sometime before 1744, he and his wife migrated to Albermarle County, Virginia. He bought 239 acres of land along both sides of Beaver Branch, around 1764. This is about 8 miles southwest of the city of Charlottesville.

It is believed that he died on March 10, 1778,
