About Dr.phil Miksa /Maximilian Ferdinand/ Falk
Miksa Falk (or sometimes Maximilian Falk, 1828 – 1908) was a Hungarian politician, journalist, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the editor-in-chief of the German-language newspaper "Pester Lloyd." "Pester Lloyd" became the newspaper of the interests of the Hungarian industrial and commercial bourgeoisie within the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In time and under his leadership, "Pester Lloyd" became the official newspaper of the government, the Catholic clergy, the military, and the Jewish upper bourgeoisie in Hungary. Falk retained control of the paper until his death, thus becoming the most influential and wealthiest editor and publisher in Hungary.
