About Earl Dee Alexander
WHITE DEER - Earl Alexander, 82, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, in Amarillo. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Collis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo.
Mr. Alexander was born in Greenville. He moved to White Deer in 1956 from Mobeetie. He worked at Pantex as a machinist for 28 years, retiring in 1984. He served in the Army during World War II as a surgical technician and received the EAME Medal with two Bronze Stars.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and White Deer Senior Citizens. He also was a member of the Panhandle post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He married Audrey Brewer in 1942 at Houston.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Earletta Moore of White Deer and Mayola Alexander of Meridian, Miss.; two sons, Carlton Alexander of Perryton and Rondal Alexander of Plains, Kan.; six sisters, Wilma Gulley, Edna Mae Tosh, Juanita Powell, Bonnie Scribner, Audrey Powell and Ann Nell Moyer, all of Pampa; two brothers, Bill Alexander of Amarillo and Carl Alexander of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Panhandle Chapter, 6222 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, TX 79109; or White Deer Senior Citizens Association. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 21, 2001
