Ebenezer Luce, s. of Josiah Luce and Sarah Allen, b. Jan. 27, 1726/7 at Windham, Conn. He was baptized at the Windham First Church on Apr. 2, 1727 and died at Windham July 31, 1794, Æ 68.

Ebenezer was the paternal grandson of Henry and Remember (Litchfield) Luce first of Scituate, then Rehoboth and finally of Tisbury, Mass. on Martha's Vineyard. Through his mother Sarah Allen, Ebenezer was the grandson of Rev. James Allen and Elizabeth Partridge of Sandwich, Mass. and lastly of Tisbury, Mass. Elizabeth (Partridge) Allen was the maternal granddau. of Stephen Tracy and Tryphosa Lee, who married at Leiden, Holland as members of the Separatist Church of Rev. John Robinson. However, Stephen and Tryphosa were not 1620 Mayflower passengers.

On Oct. 26, 1749 at Windham, Conn. Ebenezer m. Anna Robinson, dau. of Ens. Thomas and Anna (---) Robinson of Windham, Conn. Ebenezer's wife Anna should not be confused with supposedly being the daughter of her aunt and uncle, Peter and Ruth (Fuller) Robinson, Jr., as the latter couple had no daughter named Anna.

To complicate the interfamily relationships, Ebenezer Luce's paternal uncle, Dea. Experience Luce of Tisbury, Mass., was the former brother-in-law by marriage of Anna (Robinson) Luce's grandfather, Peter Robinson, Sr. Experience Luce's wife was Elizabeth Manter, the younger sister of Peter Robinson's first wife Mary Manter.

Ebenezer and wife Anna had eleven children of record at Windham, Conn.: Jerusha, Sarah (d.y.), Azuba, Zilpha, Amy, Ebenezer, Sarah, Anna (d.y.), Josiah, Anna, and Remember. Family Members Spouse
