Ebenezer appears to have married a daughter of Sanford Tracy, Betsy, b. 1801. Ebenezer named a son Sanford Tracy Morey.

He and his family were living in 1830 in Hillsdale. There were two males under five, probably Oscar Vivalda and Sanford Tracy, and a male Anson and female between five and ten. There was also an older female between 30 and 40 besides a female 20-30. Betsy (Tracy) Morey died 13 Dec 1833, age 32, and is buried in Columbia Co along with Anna A. Morey d. 1 Feb 1834, 2 mos and others of the Tracy family.

Ebenezer apparently remarried about 1834 to Amelia C. Herlburt, a name also found in Columbia County, NY. By 1835 he had moved his family to Iowa, probably somewhere just across the Mississippi, where daughter Emily was born.

He was in Illinois in La Salle County by 1840.

In 1840 there were seven young people in the home including Oscar, Sanford, and Emily. They were living near Ebenezer's brother Vivalda. Sometime between 1841 and 1845 they returned to OH where their daughter Abigail Soule was born. Then they were back in Illinois by 1850 in Rock Island County, across the river from Iowa. A son, Francis, was six months old. Ebenezer declared his occupation as physician. Oscar was farming and Sanford was working as a cabinet maker.

By 1856 Ebenezer had moved back to Illinois where he was living in Manlius, La Salle County. On the 03 Jan 1856, Ebenezer's wife Amelia made out her will. She left to her husband the land known as Lot no 13 in Block no 4 in Richeys Addition in the town of Marseilles, La Salle County. After his death it was to be divided as follows: to Sanfo

rd Morey $50 (suggesting that Oscar may have been dead). Balance to be divided between daughter Mary Emma, $275, son Herman Herlburt, $275, Abby Lewis $275. Herman and Albert Butterfield to be executors. Butterfield may have been a relative.

At the time of the 1860 census he was still working as a physician with land worth $2000.

He also appears to have remarried about 1857 to a woman named Mary, born 1815 in Massachusetts.

They had a son Charles who was two. Still at home was Abby. Sanford was living nearby with his wife and daughter of 6 months.

His wife, Mary I., was 18, also born in Massachusetts. Was she related to her mother-in-law? Sanford was assignee of Edward T. Keagle in La Salle County 14 Oct 1872 for $166.72.

Known children: Anson, Oscar Vivalda, Sanford Tracy, Anna A Morey Mary Emily., Herman Herlburt, Abigail Soule, Francis, Charles, possibly one other - the daughter in the 1830 census.
