About Edith Aquilla Abernathy

Things that I remember about Grandma Edith was that she was a good cook, hard worker, gardener, and housewife. She always had a smile on her face and read her Bible daily. She was a Lutheran and attended Bethel Lutheran Church.

She could do almost anything from farming to cooking, sewing and slooping the hogs. Her favorite TV stories when I was growing up was "General Hospital" in the early 60's and "Dark Shadows" which I ran to her house to watch every evening when I got off the bus from school because there wasn't a TV in my home to watch.

Grandmaw was my strength, security and support in my life. I would like to think I was her favorite grandchild out of all the grandchildren she had, because I saw her on a daily bases. There was no one like my Grandmaw Edith.
