  • In 'Prideaux of Padstow', Vivian shows that Edith had issue but does not name them whilst showing the following Thomas & Elizabeth as children of Joane Fowell. In his (later) work on 'Prideaux of Adeston and Theuboroiugh', Vivian shows Edith as mother of Thomas & Elizabeth. Commoners does not mention the marriage to Edith but names Thomas (monk) as the 4th son. BP1870 (Prideaux) reports that Humphrey had 3 sons and 4 daughters by his 1st marriage and 1 son and 4 daughters by his second (to Editha).
