About Edward Bell
"Mary Watt was born at Whanganui in the Manawatū-Whanganui region of New Zealand, the oldest of 10 siblings born to Scottish immigrants. Her husband died two years before the outbreak of the ‘Great War’ which would take a terrible toll on Mary and her family with the loss of two of her brothers followed by two of her children. Mary is remembered as “a very kind and gentle lady.” She was my second great grandmother."
