Edward ‘the baker’ Edes, son of Thomas Edes & Sarah Larrabee, was born 1746 at Boston, Massachusetts, and died there before September 10, 1803.
He was married on 14 Jul 1768 by Rev. Eliot at Boston to Elizabeth Edes, who was buried 8 Jan 1794. She was the daughter of Edward ‘the ship wright’ Edes & Mary Frothingham.

REV. EDWARD HENRY EDES was born in Boston, Massachusetts, June 12, 1803. His grandparents were Edward and Elizabeth Edes, who lived at the corner of Salem and Bennett Streets, on the site where the Rev. Dr. Beecher's church now stands. Mr. Edes was extensively engaged in the business of baking ship-bread, and, at one time, was worth a considerable amount of property. He enjoyed the reputation of an estimable and worthy man, a good citizen, a faithful and affectionate husband and father, and a kind and benevolent neighbour and kinsman. His eldest son, Edward, the father of the subject of this memoir, received, in part at least, a collegiate education. He commenced and continued the mercantile business on Long Wharf, until the death of his father in 1803. Then a younger brother, brought up to the ship-baking business with the father, induced him to become his partner. He therefore gave up his store, and removed into the old family mansion. This change of pursuit was of no benefit to his purse, while it was injurious to his health. He died of consumption in January, 1811, in the thirtyeighth year of his age. …

Edward Edes is the son of Thomas Edes and Sarah Larrabee, with Sarah Larrabee being the dau of Capt John Larrabee who was the owner of this tomb (pg xiv. in the forward) just before Rev Henry, so there is a strong poss Edward d. 1803 is bur here, and poss Elizabeth. Capt John Larrabee is the father of Sarah (Larrabee) Edes and he was bur. at Castle William (of which there is not a burial site there, so he is in an unmarked grave.)
