This extract taken before 1709 at East Woodhay, Hampshire, vaguely suggests a memorial inscription and burial entry: "Here lyeth buried Edward Godard Esq who married Mary Kingsmill daughter of Sir John Kingsmill of Sidmonton. Buried Mary Godard daughter of Sr John Kingsmill Kt wife of Edward Godard Esq 8 Oct 1600"[2]
